The Lighthouse Retreat, Inc. is a private organization operating in Ajax Ontario. We are committed to providing a quality experience and maintaining the dignity and independence of our seniors. 

We have been serving seniors and our community since 2013. Our staff are trained professionals dedicated to helping seniors live more independently in their homes.

Cerita Miller

President & CEO

Cerita Miller is a registered Nurse and owner of The Lighthouse Retreat, Inc. 

 

She has over 23 years of nursing experience. Cerita is an active participant in various community initiatives, including the town of Ajax.

 

Cerita is a distinguished recipient of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Pin for her outstanding community service in Ajax, ON.

 

She sits as a member with the town of Ajax Age Friendly Steering Community and also provides education on health related issues affecting the senior population to different organizations.

 

She has partnered with multiple community

organizations that will provide care and support to her clientele.

Eva Musta

Manager

Eva joined The Lighthouse Retreat in 2017, bringing with her extensive experience in the healthcare field for more than 16 years.

 

She brings to our company her motivation and ability to carry out complex tasks, her positive outlook, and strong managerial and organizational skills. In her role as Care Coordinator Eva is responsible for coordinating and assessing clients' care needs, care plan implementation and monitoring.

She defines Lighthouse Retreat as a company that brings light to people’s lives and she enjoys being part of this amazing and caring team.

Providing a hot and nutritious meal to Seniors every Thursday at the lighthouse retreat centre

Fall Prevention Exercise Ages 60+ (FREE)

The lighthouse retreat Inc. is providing FREE fall prevention classes for seniors ages 60+ in collaboration with Community Care Durham and CE-LHIN.

 

These classes are open to the public and is 45 minutes in length. Our classes are executed
by qualified instructors.

Classes are held at 11:00am to 11:45 am on:

  • Tuesday 

  • Wednesday 

  • Thursday 

  • Friday

Prior Registration is Require to Attend. Space is LIMITED.

Volunteer

Kindness Ambassador Program

Volunteer Ambassadors to our centre help raise awareness of our work by attending events to talk about our work and encourage others to get involved in fundraising activity. This is a really important role as it helps us to reach new people, inspire new fundraising activity, and thank our supporters for the work they are doing for our seniors.
